A letter to my childhood bff getting married today

Dear BFF,
I wish we all were as lucky as you, marrying your best friend that has seen you grow into an exemplary woman of God.
As the makeup artist does your makeup to perfection, please remember that you were beautiful to perfection before this day. The kind of beauty that is worked from the inside out.
As they do your hair, section by section, please remember that even the very hairs of your head are all numbered by the Almighty (Matthew 10:30).
As you put on your radiant white dress that will blow away everybody that gets to presence you in it, please remember that His mercies are new every day. You can always run to Him since he turns our wrongs white as the snow (Isaiah 1:18).
As you walk down the isle and behold your future right in front of you, the endless possibilities of what this means for you and him, please remember how much sacrifice, pain, tears, faith, prayer, and waiting it took to live this moment. Do not take for granted one second of today or the weight of importance it will hold for the rest of your life.
As you give that first wifey kiss please remember to make it count! If you know what I mean… 😏
And, as you walk out of that chapel holding on to forever, please remember his smile. Hold on to it. Take a picture in your mind. Save it to your favorite mental gallery, and make a personal every morning kind of goal to bring that same smile out of him every single day.
Now, save my words and read them all over again during times you think twice about your worth, your future or your identity in God.
And of course, now go have babies 😂
Love you forever,
Mel
